The voice and the words stay together
A recorded human-sounding narration reads the chapter while the exact word being spoken lights up. Your eyes have something to follow, so losing your place costs you a second instead of a paragraph. You can close your eyes and only listen, or read along and let the glow carry you. Every chapter of the King James Version is recorded this way, all 1,189 of them.
Room between the letters and the words
Turn on Reading ease and the text gets more space between letters, more space between words, and taller lines. Word spacing is the one that tends to help most and the one most apps leave alone. The typeface changes too, to Lexend, which was drawn against reading research rather than for looks.
Slow it down, or read one verse over and over
Playback runs from half speed to three times speed. Any single verse can be set to loop, so a line you want to hold onto repeats without you touching anything. Text size has four steps, and dark mode follows whatever your phone is set to.
Tap a word you do not know
Tapping any word opens a plain definition, the older sense the King James used where it differs from today, and the original Hebrew or Greek behind it. It answers the question and then gets out of the way so you can carry on.
Take it where there is no signal
Any book can be saved to your device to read without a connection. A whole book is around a tenth of a megabyte, so it costs nothing to keep several. The narration still needs a connection for now.
Nothing here is a treatment or a claim about anyone. It is a Bible that can be heard and seen at the same time, with the spacing turned up, because that combination is hard to find and it helps a lot of people read more than they otherwise would.
